Restoration Begins
Restoration of the Patton Block is underway. Major roof repairs have already been completed, and two new high-efficiency HVAC units with new ductwork have been installed for the two street-level stores (which are already occupied).
Work is currently underway on the third level of the building: the old plaster is being removed and all the original wood trim is being restored.
The image is looking north from the large loft space on the third floor. The scaffolding is being used for the tear-down of the 100-year-old plaster ceiling, which has been heavily damaged. Note the old radiators: the Patton Block was one of the three buildings heated from a central boiler on Town Square.
