Restoration Begins
Restoration of the Patton Block is underway. Major roof repairs have already been completed, and two new high-efficiency HVAC units with new ductwork have been installed for the two street-level stores (which are already occupied).
Work is currently underway on the third level of the building: the old plaster is being removed and all the original wood trim is being restored.

Support Timbers
Removal of the third floor ceiling reveals massive structural timbers. This picture shows some of the hardwood beams (12 inches square) that support the roof. (The rafters have been grayed out for clarity).
